(519) Mt. Fuji and Dandelions

文字数 1,826文字

The climbing trails of Mt. Fuji opened on July 1st for the Yoshida route in Yamanashi Prefecture, and on July 10th for three routes in Shizuoka Prefecture (Subashiri, Gotemba, Fujinomiya).

From this year, the shortest Yoshida route has a new gate at the 5th station, limit the number of climbers and the time of entry, and charge an entrance fee.

Speaking of Mt. Fuji, I discovered another Mt. Fuji in Tsukuba City, so I went to climb it.
This Mt. Fuji is written as “Kurakake Sengenzuka(倉掛千現塚)” on Google Maps.
(※”Zuka” or “Tsuka” refers to “mound”.)

Here, in addition to the two stone monuments with "Mt. Fuji" written on them, there is also a stone monument with the words "The Origin of Sengenzuka".

The elevation of this Mt. Fuji is 25.5m above sea level. The elevation of the road is 21m, so all we have to do is climb 4.5 m. What’s more, climbing it takes less than a minute.

Unfortunately, there were bush mosquitoes at the top of the mountain, so we didn't stay long and retreated.

I'll also post some photos of me playing around with dandelions in a park we stopped at on our way home.
