(24) Ms. Merci is afraid of height

These are pictures of when I went for a walk in a park with a windmill the other day. There was a stream in the park. There were bridges and stepping stones in the stream so that it could be crossed.

I was a little scared in front of the stepping stones and was worried about what to do. Then Dad hugged me and crossed the stepping stones. Up to this point, I was lucky. Yet, Dad thought that if the space between the stepping stones was narrow, I would be able to cross by myself. Then he put me on the last stepping stone.

The first photo was taken at that time. Ms. Merci had a worried look on the stepping stones, because Chihuahuas are small. When you look at the photos, you may think that the stepping stones are easy to cross. Well, they are made so that humans can cross them easily. I’m so small that I feel as if I was sitting on the roof of a three-story house without a safety fence! "Oh, what if I slip?"

After putting me on the last stepping stone, Dad quickly crossed the stepping stone and went to the other side. Then holding his camera, he was watching to see if I could cross the last stepping stone.

But, when he realized I couldn’t cross it, Dad rescued me again. That wait on the stepping stone was about 3 minutes, but I thought it was a quite long time and shortened my life.

Ms. Merci just landed on the stepping stone.
