Kawazu cherry blossoms (河津ザクラ) have bloomed at Ibaraki Flower Park, so I wore my Cinderella dress for the first time when I went out to see them.

Kawazuzakura is a cultivar of cherry blossom native to Japan that was born from the natural crossing of Oshimazakura(オオシマザクラ) and Kanhizakura(カンヒザクラ).

In 1955, Mr. Katsumi Iida accidentally found a log about 1m high among the weeds along the Kawazu River in Tanaka, Kawazu-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture, and planted it in his garden. It started flowering in 1966 and was named "Kawazuzakura" in 1974.
It blooms about 3 weeks earlier than the most popular Someiyoshino (ソメイヨシノ) cherry blossoms.

At Ibaraki Flower Park, Kawazuzakura are planted near the top of the hill where the glamping facilities are located.

It seemed difficult for me to climb the hill on foot, so I wanted to take the cart that tours the park to the top of the hill. However, the park staff said, "dogs are not allowed," and I could not get on the cart. (;∀;)
