“Pastorale” is a symphony composed by Beethoven in 1808. Formally, it is called “Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, Pastorale”, or “Memories of life in the countryside (expression of feeling rather than picture)."

Beethoven composed five movements including the1st movement “Awakening of cheerful feelings on arrival in the countryside”, the 2nd movement “Scene by the brook” and the 3rd movement “Merry gathering of country folk.” All of them are titled specifically with the content of memories of life in the countryside.

I think readers with good intuition have already noticed that my diary is a photo diary, so if I find a "scene by the brook" and take a picture there, my pastorale will be made. The idea of “fun and bright feelings that awaken in people's hearts when they arrive in the countryside” won't make a good photo.

However, it is extremely difficult to find a stream in the city. When I was taking a walk in Doho Park, I found a stream about 50m wide, which channels underground water into the pond.

This time, I had Dad take some pictures on the bank of the creek. The stream flows along the pond and finally joins the pond. Everything was fine until we found the stream, which can only be photographed from the land. Trees grow thick over the stream, but the sky above the pond is bright and the contrast between light and dark is strong. The photo shoot was difficult, and he couldn't take very good pictures.

The bank of the stream was cool, and a butterfly flew over, but Dad couldn't take a good picture of the butterfly either. In Disney movies, when a butterfly flies by, it is promised that it will land on someone's nose(hana 鼻), not on a flower(hana 花), but in reality, it doesn't quite work out like in the movie.

① I came to the bank of the stream.

② I am relaxing a little by the stream.

③ I am completely relaxed by the stream.

④ a failed photo of a black swallowtail butterfly that came to the bank of a stream

⑤ I'm waiting for the black swallowtail to land on my nose, not on a rose.

⑥ I am on the outskirts of a stream. Dad says it's easier to take pictures here.
