There are many cherry trees planted in Tsukuba, where I live.
Tsukuba City is the fourth largest municipality in Ibaraki Prefecture. The area of all urban parks in Tsukuba City is the fourth largest in Ibaraki Prefecture.

There is no data on the number of cherry blossoms by municipality, but Tsukuba City is probably in the top 3 in the prefecture.

Anyway, during the cherry blossom season, you can see cherry blossoms everywhere in the city.

However, Tsukuba City doesn’t have many cherry blossom spots that are listed in tourist guidebooks.

Cherry blossoms are blooming everywhere in the city, so we may not need a famous place.

Hojo Oike(北条大池), where we went to see Otome Tsubaki (Chap.297), is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot that has long been known.

According to the onlineTsukuba Shimbun, popular cherry-blossom viewing spots in Tsukuba City are Sorimachi Forest Park (反町の森公園) and Science Expo Commemorative Park (科学万博記念公園).

So, let's take a cherry blossom tour in Tsukuba city, focusing on these two places.
