We went to "Yasuragi-no-Sato Shimotsuma" on our way back from our New Year's visit, which I introduced in "Chapter 261.

At that time, I noticed that there were many splendid wisteria trellises in "Yasuragi no Sato Shimotsuma".

Recently, the wisteria near my house has started to bloom. I thought that the wisteria flowers in Yasuragi-no-Sato had started to bloom as well, so we went to see them.

There are two methods of growing wisteria: “shelf tailoring” and “standing-tree tailoring”. At Yasuragi-no-Sato Shimotsuma, there were wisterias made using these two methods.

※ ”Shelf tailoring (棚仕立て)” is a method of making a shelf at a position that is at or above the eye level of the person, and inducing a wisteria tree there to grow there.

※ “Standing-tree tailoring (立木仕立て)” is a method of making and tailoring a tree shape that conforms to the original form of the tree using support rods.

I'm exceedingly small, so I would be happy if I could have my picture taken with a standing wisteria.
