There are eight industrial complexes in Tsukuba City, and each of them has its own park.

This time, I'll introduce Tsukuba Northern Park(つくば北部公園), which is located in the Tsukuba Northern Industrial complex.

The park has 12 all-weather tennis courts that you can play on even at night. It also has spectator seats, and is also the venue for the international women's tennis tournament called the “Sekisho International Women's Open Tennis Tournament”.

In addition, there are many mysterious monuments in this park, so I’ll introduce them.

Speaking of mysterious monuments, there is one in front of Tsuchiura Station as well. So, I’ll post the "Gegege no Kitaro (ゲゲゲの鬼太郎) and Medama Oyaji (目玉おやじ) Statue", too.

This bronze statue was installed by the Tsuchiura Lions Club in 1998 for the purpose of calling for eye bank registration (eye donation). “Medama Oyaji” is Kitaro's father and a specter. He has a small body attached to one large eye, is 9.9cm tall, weighs 33g, is over 500 years old, and is set to be extremely erudite.

① This monument is located at the front entrance of Tsukuba Northern Park.

② This is a strange monument that doesn't protect us from the rain or the sun.

③ This is the Möbius strip monument.

④ It's sunny and hot here.

⑤ This is a monument with a hole in a concrete wall. If Kitaro were here, this would be the
entrance to another world.

⑥ There are some dents on the concrete wall that look like they were cut out.

⑦ I'm approaching the wall.

⑧ There is a pyramid on the roof of the administration building.

⑨ I’m running past the administration building.

⑩ This is the all-weather tennis court.

⑪ P.S. This is the"Gegege no Kitaro (ゲゲゲの鬼太郎) and Medama Oyaji (目玉おやじ) Statue". Someone added a scarf and ball for fun.

⑫ On the pedestal, a call for eye bank registration is written.
