Revisit Nasu Plateau (4)

In Nasu Plateau, there is a ropeway and a gondola.

Dogs can ride on both, but they must be in a cage to ride the ropeway. If they ride the gondola, they can ride as they are.

So, we hopped into the car, heading for the gondola station. As the car climbed up the Kogen plateau, the autumn leaves became more beautiful.

As we approached the gondola station, however, the amount of fallen leaves increased and the autumn leaves still on the trees decreased.

Even if we go to the gondola station at this rate, it seems that we will see mountains without colored leaves.

So, we made a U-turn in the car and went down the mountain, where there was “Tsutsuji (Azalea) suspension Bridge”, so we stopped by.

The Tsutsuji Suspension Bridge was not included in the original itinerary, but the autumn leaves around it were very beautiful.

The suspension bridge is 38 meters above the Nigato River that flows below.

The center of the bridge’s walkway is a grate, which means a mesh lid with iron grids.

Actually, I hate grates. If my fragile legs get caught in the gaps in the grate, I might not be able to get them out.

When I take a walk, I always take a detour to avoid the grates that cover the gutters on the road so that my feet don’t get caught in them.

The grate of the suspension bridge was also very scary.
At the bridge, I could see the Nigato River 38 meters below through the gap in the grate.

I was relieved when Mom noticed that I didn't want to walk across the suspension bridge, and she carried me across the suspension bridge.
