In Tsukuba City's research school district, parks line the north and south sides of the Tsukuba Center Building, and the parks are connected by bicycle lanes. This bike path and nearby parks are collectively called “Koen-dori”(park street).

Akatsuka Park (赤塚公園) is located at the south end of Koen-dori. It has beautiful cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and a small pond. There are lots of pine trees in the park. In the pine forest, pinecones have fallen.

So, this time, I was planning to introduce Akatsuka Park, focusing on the pine forest.
When I arrived at the park, I hadn't seen it in a long time, so I started a big adventure in the park and its surroundings, except for the pine forest.
I was very happy that I had a great adventure, but Dad seemed dissatisfied that he managed to take only a few pictures of the pinecones.

The original draft of the title of this diary Dad had in mind was "Mr. Merci and the Pinecone Forest", but he changed it to "Mr. Merci in Akatsuka Park" to match the content.
So, I’ll post the photos of Akatsuka Park and its surroundings without the pine cones.

① I am at the edge of the pine forest. Pine leaves are falling.

② The lawn is wide and comfortable.

③ I am near cedar trees. You can see the cedar leaves.

④ I’m in front of Higashi Kindergarten.

⑤ I’m in front of Higashi Kindergarten. It is Saturday, so the kindergarten is closed.

⑥ This is the corner of Yatabe Higashi Junior High School. I can’t see inside the school because of the hedge.
