In Japan, Hina dolls are displayed at the Doll's Festival.

Photo 1, 2 and 3 are pictures of me sitting or standing in front of a tiered doll stand.
On the right is Ohinasama (the Empress), and on the left is Odairisama (the Emperor). This is a new Western-style order that has been introduced since the end of the Meiji era.

According to old Japanese rules, "the left side is the higher status." That is to say, of the two Ministers, the Minister of the Left is superior. The order from ancient times is that the yang on the right is Odairisama (the Emperor) and the yin on the left is Ohinasama (the Empress). In other words, it wasn't "Ladies First".

Recently, male dolls are called Odairisama and female dolls are called Ohinasama, but it seems that this is a result of the spread of Hachirou Satou's nursery rhyme.

Well, I came up with a new way of sitting because the dolls are so small in Photo 1, Photo 2, and Photo 3.

The left is Odairisama and the right is Ohinasama. So far, it's the same, but I'm sitting in between!!

In this way, I climbed the doll stand for the first time in my life!!

This is the best picture of me, but the dolls are out of focus.

The face of the Ohinasama is still blurred.

This time dolls’ faces are clearer, but my face becomes smaller.

I climbed the doll stand for the first time, so I look uneasy.

I’ve become accustomed to the doll stand.
