We stayed at “Bow-wow Hotel" (a hotel where a pet and its owners can stay) to go hunting for autumn leaves.

Recently, the number of hotels where dogs can stay is increasing.
However, in most cases, the room where a dog can stay is limited to a part of the room, or it is a cottage in the annex attached to the hotel.

"Bow-wow Hotel" was opened about 30 years ago as a hotel where dogs can stay with their owners, because the former proprietress was impressed by the fact that dogs can stay at many hotels in Europe and the United States.

This hotel is said to be the first hotel in Japan where dogs can stay with their owners in the same room. On the day we stayed, 21 dogs were staying!!

Over 90% of hotel rooms are traditional Japanese tatami rooms.

The room we stayed in was also a Japanese-style room with a tatami-matted alcove, which is not found in the house where I always live, so I completely liked the alcove.

I like the alcove. The book you can see in the back is a book of a doggie hotel written by the previous landlady.

The tatami floor is comfortable when I get used to it.

I’m small, so it's easy to turn around in the alcove.

When it gets dark, you can turn on the lantern and the alcove will be comfortable.
