Winter is finally in full swing, and the cold is getting harsher.
Some books say, "Chihuahuas are ultra-small dogs, so you can keep them at home and don’t have to take them for a walk."
But I love walking! Even if it gets cold, I want to go out.
I wear fine fur, so it is okay for it to be a little cold. But recently I'm getting older and my blood circulation is getting worse, so I wear clothes when I go out.
Recently, Mom got out my warm clothes ready for winter. In the old language, it seems to be “changing clothes”(衣替え). Wearing warm clothes allows me to have a comfortable winter walk.
By the way, there is something Mom is wondering about. "Meru-chan doesn't wear shoes, but her feet aren't cold. Why? "
Mom had me wear dog socks only once, but I felt sick and it didn’t last for a minute.
When I take a walk, I see many dogs. They usually don't wear socks or shoes, either. I've only met a dog wearing shoes once. The dog seemed to have injured its leg.
So, I don’t know why, but dogs usually don't have cold feet. However, I stopped taking a walk only once because my legs were cold. It was a snowy day. Chihuahuas seem to be more vulnerable to the cold than other dogs, while the other dogs ran around in the snow.
