The side of the mountain facing the hotel in Madarao Kogen is a slope of a ski resort, and lifts have been installed.
In summer, the slope is covered with lavenders and lilies.
The lily field is located in the middle of the slope, so it is difficult to reach without a lift. Dogs are not allowed to ride the lifts, so we are unable to get to the lily field.
The lavender field is at the bottom of the slope, so you can walk up from the hotel.
Looking from the hotel, the lower part of the lavender field has not yet bloomed, but the upper part of the lavender field is in full bloom, and I could see a beautiful lavender color.
Even in the same lavender field, the blooming time is different because of differences in altitude. The highland climate is harsh.
Before breakfast, we went for a morning walk in the lavender field.
The grass around the lavender field was wet with the morning dew, but the air was very refreshing. The bees were busily flying around among the lavender flowers, working hard to collect nectar.

2 I’m climbing the lavender field. The morning dew wets my feet and stomach.
3 We reached the top of the lavender field. This area is in full bloom. Some are turning brown and starting to seed.
4 Bees are working hard to collect nectar.
5 I’m walking around the lavenders in full bloom. So fragrant!!
