In Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, there is Akebonoyama Park (5.9ha) centered on Akebono hill (Sakurayama) and a Japanese garden.

Next to the park is "Akebonoyama Agricultural Park", where you can enjoy flower gardens and agricultural experiences like harvesting potatoes, making edible sunflower oil, picking blueberries, etc.

Today, these two parks are collectively called “Akebonoyama Park”.

Akebonoyama is famous for its cherry blossoms, and the flower garden is famous for its tulips.

Akebonoyama Park is adjacent to the Tanaka Reservoir on the Tone River, not too far from my home.

Dogs were not allowed in Akebonoyama Park, but from Oct.1, 2022, dogs are allowed in some areas.

Recently, the number of visitors with dogs has increased, and on June 10th and 11th, 2023, "Akebonoyama DOG Marche 2023 (dog goods market, dog yoga, Wanwan game competition, time race)" is scheduled to be held.
So, we went there.

① I‘ve arrived at Akebonoyama Park. Dogs are not allowed inside the left fence.

② I’m heading to a pet-friendly area.

③ This is a pet-friendly area. There is a large lawn.

④ Behind the park office, the staff is watering the flowers.

⑤ Tired of the lawn square, I'm heading to Akebonoyama.

⑥The wisteria flowers are about to end. Azaleas are beautiful.

⑦ From Akebonoyama, you can see the poppy field very well.

⑧ I’m standing on a stump and looking into the distance.

⑨ I’ve just come down from Akebonoyama. The best view in the park is the windmill. Dogs are not allowed in the flower garden, so I look at the scenery from a distance.

⑩I’m returning to the parking lot.
