Ginkgo leaves have begun to turn yellow. There are big ginkgo trees in a temple called Sairenji in Namegata City, so we went there.
Sairenji Temple was built in 782 and has old buildings like Sorin-tower, which was built in 1287 and has a height of 9.16m, and Niomon, which was built in 1543.
There are two huge ginkgo trees, No. 1 (Taro) and No. 2 (Jiro), and these trees are over 1000 years old.
The leaves had not turned yellow yet, but the number of people in the precincts was small and the walk was comfortable.
