Izumi Kosodate Kannon (泉子育観音) is a Shingon sect temple located in Izumi, Tsukuba City, and its official name is Seikozan Kozoin Keiryuji (勢光山広蔵院慶龍寺). The object of worship is the Bodhisattva Kanzeon Bodhisattva (子育出世正観世音菩薩).

The main gate was donated by the Tsuchiura feudal lord during the Edo period.

The bell tower belonged to Chuzenji Temple, which was located on the site of the current Tsukubasan Shrine.

During the Meiji period, Chuzenji Temple was demolished due to the separation of Buddhism and Shintoism, and the bell tower escaped the disaster and was relocated to Izumi Kosodate Kannon at that time.

Of the 28 statues that had been enshrined in the destroyed main hall of Chuzenji, 17 were evacuated to the Izumi Kosodate Kannon and are housed in the hall next to the Chozuya. The 17 statues were built at the same time as the main hall in 1633.

This temple is famous for its weeping cherry blossoms (Shidarezakura, しだれ桜), so we went to see them.
