Toyosato Yukari no Mori (豊里ゆかりの森) is a 12-hectare plain forest natural park where Japanese red pine and sawtooth oak grow.

You can collect and observe insects like rhinoceros beetles, stag beetles, and swallowtail butterflies.

Moreover, there are an insect museum, a craft museum, a barbecue area, a campsite, an athletic field with a jungle gym, tennis courts, accommodation facilities, and a forest information center.

I was able to meet a black swallowtail butterfly. But I’m afraid that black swallowtail butterflies will disappear eventually if many people catch them.

① I am in front of the insect museum.

② Oaraseitou(大紫羅欄花) smells good. It is also called Murasaki Hanana(紫花菜), Hanadaikon(花大根), and Shokasai(諸葛菜).

③ A black swallowtail is sucking the nectar of the Oaraseitou.

④ As you go through the forest, you can see log cabins.

⑤ There is a pond next to the cabins.

⑥ This is the only playground outside the forest. You can see people having a barbecue.

⑦ The dandelions are blooming beautifully. But I'm drawn to the smell and go to the barbecue area. As the proverb goes, ”Dumplings are better than flowers(花より団子).”

⑧ There are some outdoor obstacles for kids and adults.

⑨ This is also the outdoor obstacle set.

⑩ I'm making my way through the forest.

⑪ I’ve arrived at the craft museum. I have now circled the forest.

⑫ From the parking lot, I can see rape blossoms and Mt. Tsukuba well.
