There are many private TV stations in Tokyo. The prefectures surrounding Tokyo have a few: TV Kanagawa, Chiba TV, TV Saitama, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV.
However, in Ibaraki Prefecture where I live, for some reason there is not a single private TV station.
Without local TV stations, there are fewer local programs. NHK's "Iba 6(いば６)" is popular as one of the few local programs. Mom is also a fan of "Iba 6".
The other day, Mom heard from "Iba 6" that "the autumn foliage in Hananuki Valley in Takahagi is at its peak."
In the Hananuki Valley, there is a suspension bridge called ”Shiomi Falls Bridge”. When people pass through the suspension bridge, the fallen leaves fall from the bridge board,
so you can only take a picture of this scenery of "fallen autumn leaves on the bridge board" in the early morning before others come here and knock all the leaves off of the bridge.
In other words, if you go to Hananuki Valley in the daytime, you might not be able to see the scenery of "the bridge boards are covered with fallen leaves".
Nevertheless, the fallen leaves on the bridge that we saw on the program were so beautiful that we decided to go to Hananuki Valley on a day trip to see the autumn leaves.
① I managed to walk on the 800m wet road from the parking lot to the Shiomitaki Suspension Bridge by myself.
② We arrived at the Shiomi Falls Suspension Bridge. You cannot see fallen leaves on the bridge planks.
③ I’m crossing the suspension bridge.
④ The suspension bridge shook violently, so I was holding on, but after that, Mom gave me a hug.
⑤ This is Shiomi Falls seen from the Shiomi Falls Suspension Bridge. It is very small, about 1m high. There are also larger waterfalls nearby: Fudo Falls（不動滝） and Otome Falls（乙女滝）.
