In Ashikaga City, there is Ashikaga Flower Park, which is famous for its wisteria flowers and illumination.
Dad wanted to take pictures of the illuminations at Ashikaga Flower Park, so I went with him.
The park is two hours away from Tsukuba, where I live, and we can visit it on a day trip. However, this time, Dad wanted to take photos at night, so we stayed overnight.
By the way, dogs are not allowed in Ashikaga Flower Park.
While Dad was filming at Ashikaga Flower Park, I was resting at the hotel with Mom.
Dad wanted to take some pictures of me under illuminations, so he searched for nearby illumination spots. Consequently, we found a small illumination spot at "Michi-no-Eki Domannaka Tanuma". So, we went there and took pictures.
Taking photos at night when there is little light is usually more difficult than taking photos during the day.
However, the illumination at Ashikaga Flower Park was very bright, so he was able to take pictures in the same way as in the daytime.
On the other hand, "Michi-no-Eki Domannaka Tanuma" was very dark and I was running around, so it was very difficult to photograph.
Dad didn't use a bright flash so as not to startle me. Instead, in Photo②, he used an LED light. At that time, he didn’t think that the LED light was effective, and stopped using it after photo ②.
Later, looking at the pictures, it turned out that the LED light was effective. Anyway, taking photos at night is difficult, and it seems that he has a lot of room to improve his technique.
At Michi-no-Eki Domannaka Tanuma, you can also see the 2013 Yuru-chara Grand Prix champion, SANOMARU, a brand character from Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture.
"Sanomaru" is a dog-shaped mascot, with a hat made of a Sano ramen bowl, bangs made of Sano ramen medium-thick curly noodles, and a samurai sword made of deep-fried potatoes, a specialty of Sano City.
① We’ve arrived at "Michi-no-Eki Domannaka Tanuma". There are lights to the back left, and you can see the footbath building to the back right.
② I’ve started taking a walk between the illuminations. Dad used LED lights.
③ I’m taking a walk.
④I’m taking a walk in front of Sanomaru.
⑤This is a picture of Ashikaga Flower Park. The number of illumination LEDs is astounding. The hanging blue shapes are the lights attached to the wisteria trees.
