（２６５） Ｗｅ ｇｏ ｔｏ Ａｓｈｉｋａｇａ Ｏｒｉｈｉｍｅ Ｓｈｒｉｎｅ

The next day after staying at the highway hotel, we had some errands to do, so we decided to return to Tsukuba City by noon.
However, since we came all the way to Ashikaga, we decided to stop by at one place before returning home.
When we researched the most famous tourist destination in Ashikaga City, we found that it was Ashikaga Orihime Shrine (足利織姫神社).
It was established in 1705 in the center of Ashikaga city. In 1879 during the Meiji period, the shrine was relocated to the middle of Mt. Hatagami (currently Mt. Orihime). Immediately after that, it caught fire, and the current steel building was completed in 1937.
The shrine, which is located on a high place, has steep stone steps called “Otokozaka (男坂)” and gentle slopes called “Onnazaka (女坂)”.
The Otokozaka has 229 stone steps. On Onnazaka, there is a rainbow-colored torii gate that was built in 2018 as part of the 80th anniversary of the Sengu.
(※Sengu means transfer of a deity to a new shrine.)
In chapter 17"A trip to Yamadera", I climbed 1,000 stone steps to reach Yamadera. Since then, I’ve grown old, so it seems difficult to climb the 229 stone steps.
After checking, we found the parking lot of the shrine is at the top of the stairs. Thinking we could make it, so we went there.
