“Kuzushiro Fureai no Mori (葛城ふれあいの森)” is a forest park near Kenkyugakuen Station.
From April 28, 2023 to November 5, 2023, the "Dinosaur Adventure Tour Tsukuba Forest Great Dinosaur Park" is being held in Kuzushiro Fureai no Mori, and the park is occupied by dinosaurs.
In Kuzushiro Fureai no Mori, dogs are usually allowed to walk. However, at the Great Dinosaur Exhibition, the staff told Mom, "Please hold the dog."
So, I got into Mom's dog carrier and took a look.
In Episode 399, I introduced four dinosaurs in Yasaka Park in Bando City.
Here, in Kuzushiro Park, 15 smaller-than-life dinosaurs whose bodies are partially powered by electricity are on display.
The dinosaur superstar is the Tyrannosaurus, which is the strongest dinosaur and is said to have eaten up to 230 kg of meat in one bite. It always appears in dinosaur movies like “Jurassic Park”. Two Tyrannosaurus are placed near the exit of this park.
“Tyranno” means "tyrant" and “Saurus” means "lizard" in Latin.
Dinosaurs are usually referred to by their genus names rather than their species names because many details remain unknown.
“Tyrannosaurus” is the genus name.
The binomial using the genus-species name is “Tyrannosaurus rex (T-rex)”. “Rex” means "king". At the moment, the only Tyrannosaurus species is rex. So, it doesn't need to be called" Tyrannosaurus Rex”, but it is sometimes called “T-Rex” because of its popularity.
Dinosaurs lived throughout the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods.
At this park, dinosaurs from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods are on display.

The maximum diameter of a dinosaur egg is said to have been 30 cm, which is smaller than ostrich eggs (20 cm), and most of them were around 15 cm.
