There is a housing complex called Harukazedai that was recently sold in Tsukuba city.
When hearing the term “built-for-sale housing,” many people imagine a narrow house which stands in a narrow square lot.
However, Harukazedai is a little different. There is a large front yard and a vegetable garden behind the house.
As some of you may have noticed by looking at the title, the design of Harukazedai is an imitation of the American style.
A typical American house has a large lawn and part of the front yard is a parking lot.
Americans often have BBQs on the lawns around their homes.
Looking at the photo of Harukazedai, many of you may think, "Where is this place? It must be America."
In Tsukuba City, the only American-style built-for-sale homes like this are Harukazedai and the built-for-sale homes next to it.
So, Dad said, “if we take a walk on Harukazedai and I take a picture of Meru-chan, our readers who see it would feel like they are looking at America.
It was good up to this point, but, in the end, the idea collapsed.
Photo① is the scenery of Harukazedai. There is a large lawn in front of the American style house.
In the left center of Photo①, you can see something like a black turtle about the same size as me.
What I saw was a self-driving lawn-mowing robot.
I was completely in watchdog mode against the mower, and Dad was nowhere near taking pictures.
As I stepped away from the lawnmower, felt relieved, and got back to normal, Dad took just one picture of me as an American-style dog.
"I feel very uncomfortable here because there is a buzzing mower working" was written on my face, so Dad ended the photo-shooting at Harukazedai early.

②Since Mr. Turtle moves around, I’m on high alert.
