（５１５） Ｉ ｅｎｊｏｙｅｄ ｔｈｅ ｅｖｅｎｉｎｇ ｃｏｏｌｎｅｓｓ

The summer this year is scorching. One time the daytime temperature reached 39℃ (102.2℉), which was scary, and I couldn’t go outside. Even in an air-conditioned room, I didn’t feel very cool, maybe it was just my imagination.
So, after dinner, we went for a walk in Windmill Park. We arrived there around 5:30 p.m., but there were few cars in the parking lot.
As I walked around the windmill, I found that the only place where it was cool and pleasant was the promenade along Lake Kasumigaura, where the breeze from the lake made the place feel cool. Below the promenade was the Lotus Garden, where lotus flowers were in bloom.
After a while, I noticed that there were more dogs walking around me. Dogs were walking back and forth on the pedestrian path along Lake Kasumigaura, or resting near the windmill.
Those who frequent the park for walks know very well where the coolest breezes blow, and that is where they rest and take walks.
