This Machine has changed you to a five year-old boy
このマシンはお前さんを５歳の子に変えたんだ

and now you see, this Machine is really tremendous!”
やっとこれが、物凄い機械だと分かったな！

“Yes. Yes. It’s really tremendous! So congratulations, Doc!
うんうん、豪快に凄いよ。おめでとう先生！

But I can’t go to school while I am five years old.”
だけどぼく、５歳じゃ学校へ行けないよ

“Don’t worry. You’ll soon be back to your original age.
心配するな　オリジナルに戻してやる

Well, you are, seventeen years old, aren’t you?”
お前さんは１７歳だな

“Yes. I’m seventeen years and three months, since I was born in April.”
４月生まれだから１７歳と３ヶ月

Then Doc said “OK.” and closed the curtain again,
それから茶トラ先生はＯＫと言ってからもういちどカーテンを締め

switched on something outside once more.
もういちど何かのスイッチを押した

Then the Machine began to zoom again.
すると再び機械がうなり

And I changed back to my original age.
ぼくは元の年齢になった

Then I opened the curtain and said,
それでぼくはカーテンを開け、言った

“Unreal!
ありえない！

By the way, can I be at any age?
ところで、何歳にでもなれるんだろ？

“Certainly.”
そのとおり

“Even a hundred years old?”
１００歳にだって？

“It might be possible. But you’d better not.”
出来るかも知れんがやめておけ

“Why?”
どうして？

“You might be ashes.”
多分お前さんは骨だ

“Wow, it’s dangerous!
わ～、そいつはヤバイね

But it’s fantastic. We can be at any age!”
だけど何歳にだってなれるなんてヤバイよ！

“That’s right.”
そのとおり

“By the way, you said this is the Time Age Machine.
ねえ、これって「タイムエイジマシン」だよね

So I guess
で、ぼくが想像するに

it must be a Time Machine too.”
タイムマシンでもあるんだろ？
