デビルとの決闘

Then I did the ‘Migi-Sansen-dachi’ karate stance.

So Devil said,
するとデビルは言った

するとデビルのパンチが、ぼくの顔に襲ってきた

So my body reacted willfully
するとぼくの体が勝手に反応し

and blocked the punch with ‘Uchi-Uke’.
内受けでブロック

Then his arm was flicked to the outside with tremendous speed.
するとやつの腕がものすごい勢いで弾き飛ばされた

Then he looked a little pale
それでやつの顔が少し蒼くなったが

but still reddish in anger
だけどまだ赤い怒った顔

since he was a bit of a bad ass.
なんたってやつは、ひとかどの悪がきだし

Then he tried to kick my guts.
それからやつは、ぼくのお腹を蹴ってきた

So my body reacted willfully once again
するとぼくの体がもう一度反応し

and blocked the kick with ‘Gedan-Barai’.
下段払いでブロックした

Then his leg was flicked to the outside
今度はやつの脚が外に弾き飛ばされ

and he turned three and a half times like a figure skater and fell over.
そしてやつはフィギアスケートのように三回転半してしりもちを付いた

Nevertheless, he stood up once again
それでもやつはもう一度立ち上がり

and tried a left low blow to my guts.
ぼくのお腹に左のローブローをかましてきた

But I blocked it with ‘Gedan-Barai’ again
だけどもう一度下段払いでブロックし

それからさらに体が反応し

and I threw a straight left punch
勝手に左正拳突きが出て

そしてそれはやつの顔の寸前で止まった

Devil, looked at my fist,
ぼくの拳を見たデビルは

驚き、青ざめ

and sat down on the ground.
そしてペタンと座り込んだ

And he looked up at me vacantly for a while,
そしてしばらく、ぼくを呆然と見上げていたが

then stood up and said sourly,
それから立ち上がり、悔しそうに言った

“You are off the hook for today.
今日のところは許してやるが

But remember, you still owe me!
おぼえておけ　絶対に払ってもらうからな
