だから何とかしなければならんのだ

While we were talking,
そんな話をするうちに

it seemed that the demo flight was about to start.
デモフライトが始まりそうだった

We looked toward the apron
ぼくらが駐機場を見ると

to find three R.C. aircrafts
３機の機体があり

that seemed to be ‘brand new’.
それらは最新鋭って感じだった

And on each vertical stabilizer,
そしておのおのの垂直尾翼には

numbers ‘1’, ‘2’, and ‘3’ were written respectively.
各々１，２，３と書いてあった

Anyway, I could see the numbers clearly
とにかくそれらの数字は良く見える

with Doc’s binoculars.
茶トラ先生の双眼鏡で

Then I looked around
それからぼくは周りを見回した

and spotted a person
そしてある人物に注目した

very much like my father
それはお父さんみたいだった

coming out of the building,
ビルから出てきた

wearing a gray suit
グレーのスーツ着て

and snobbish sunglasses,
キザなサングラスかけて

holding a transmitter for R.C aircraft
ラジコン飛行機の送信機を持って

and whistling.
そして口笛吹きながら

I thought that the song my father was whistling
お父さんが口笛を吹いている曲は

must be ‘Take it easy’
きっとTake it easy だ

cause it was his favorite song,
だってお父さんの十八番だ

though I couldn’t hear him with the binoculars.
双眼鏡では「聞こえ」ないけれど

Then he went into the hut i.e. the toilet.
それからお父さんは小屋に入った　それはすなわちトイレ

So, Doc said,
それで茶トラ先生は言った

“This is going to be a great chance!”
こいつはまたとないチャンスだぞ！

“Why is it a great chance?”
またとないチャンス？

“Anyhow! Well, keep on looking!”
とにかく、しっかり見てろ！
