過去の話１

“Of course I wasn’t going to kill myself in reality.”
もちろん実際に殺そうとしたわけではない

だが出来なかった

何かにつまづいてこけた

Then I stood up
それで起き上がり

and looked for the bat,
バットを探した

which I’d put in a certain place.
それはある場所に置いておったのだが

But I couldn’t find it.”
見付からなかった

“Oh!”
へぇー

“So I concluded that
それでわしは結論づけたのだ

something which I don’t know in nature prevents me
自然現象の中の何かが、わしを妨害すると

from doing such things.”
わしがそのような行動を行うことを

“Nature prevents?”
自然現象が妨害する？

“In other words,
言い換えると

we can do almost nothing
何も出来ないのだ

which affects the past.”
過去に影響を与えるような行動は

“We can do nothing in the past!
過去では何も出来ない！

Wow. That’s like a ghost!”
わお！　それってまるでオバケじゃん！

“But if we could,
だがそんなことが出来ようものなら

the ‘present’ would be changed.
「現在」はすっかり変わっておるだろう

In other words,
言い換えると

I’m in a coffin now. And it’s quite nonsense!”
棺桶の中にいる自分が、過去の自分を殺すなどまったくナンセンス！

“Yeah. That’s crazy!”
うん　ばかげているね

“And this is the so called Time-Paradox.
これがいわゆるタイムパラドックスだ
