エイジマシン１

Within a minute I became as young as a junior high school boy, elementary school boy
１分もすればぼくは中学生、そして小学生の姿になり

and of course I became shorter and shorter.
もちろんぼくは、どんどん背が低くなった


When I was as short as an early elementary school boy,
そして小学校低学年くらいになったら

I was too short to see the mirror.
背が低すぎて鏡が見えなくなった

So I stood up on the chair.
それで、ぼくは椅子の上に立った


And still I became younger and younger
それからもぼくは幼くなっていき

and became as young as a 1st grade student
小学一年生になり

before becoming a 5 year old.
最後に５歳になった


Then the Machine seemed to stop.
それから機械が止まったみたい

And I heard his voice from outside.
そして外から茶トラ先生の声がした


“Well, I’ve made you into a five-year old boy! How about that?”
お前さんを５歳にしてやったぞ。気分はどうだ？

I was thoroughly astonished
ぼくはカンペキにぶったまげていた

and stood still on the chair.
そして椅子の上に立ち尽くした

My clothes were too big for me.
服はだぶだぶで


Then I opened the curtain and said,
それからぼくはカーテンを開けて言った


“What’s happened to me? Wow! Is that my voice?”
ぼくどうしちゃったの？　え！　これぼくの声？

“Of course, yes. It’s the voice when you were five years old.”
もちろんそうだ　お前さんの５歳の声だ

“Five years old? Are you kidding?
５歳？　おちょくってるの？

What on earth has happened to me?”
一体全体、ぼくに何が？

“I told you it’s the Time Age Machine.
これはタイムエイジマシンと言っただろう

And I’ve just showed you the function of the Age Machine.”
そのエイジマシンの部分を見せたところだ

“Age Machine?”
エイジマシン？

“Correct.
