過去の話２

“So I guess there is a limitation
それでわしが思うに、ある制限があるのだ

which restricts us
それはわしらを縛っておる

from doing almost anything in the past.
過去において、わしらがなにも出来んように

And this limitation protects ‘the present’.
そしてその制限によって「現在」が守られておる

It might be one of the fundamental physical laws.”
それはおそらく物理学上の基本的法則の一つなのだ

“Well, I’m not so good at physics!
ブツリは苦手だよ

So what about the future?
じゃ未来は？

Can we do anything in the future?”
未来なら何か出来るの？

“Certainly.
もちろん

Because, the future is not determined
未来はまだ決まっていないからだ

and if we do something in the future,
未来で何かをやれば

it might be changed
未来が変わる

and it’s quite all right.
それでまったくＯＫ

And if we do something good,
未来で何かよいことを行えば

we’ll get a great future.
素晴らしい未来が待っておる

And if we do something really bad,
悪いことをやれば

it might be tragic.”
悲劇的な未来しかない

“Well, if we don’t do anything
だったら未来で何もやらずに

and just ‘see’ the future,
「見る」だけなら

I guess nothing will be changed.”
何も変わらないと、ぼくは想像するんだけどな

“Perhaps you are right
たぶんお前さんは正しい

as long as you don’t do anything.”
何もやらなければな

“So, let’s go to the future!"
じゃ、未来へ行こう！
