it was my destiny.
それは私の運命だと

I felt it was such a great importance to my existence.
それは私自身の存在に関わる、重大事だと予感したのです

Well, I didn’t know why
なぜだか分からないけれど

but I thought
だけど私は思ったのです

I was destined to develop the medicine,
とにかく私は、その治療薬を開発しなければいけない運命にあると

regardless of the reason.
理由のいかんに関わらず

So I devoted my life’s work to it.
それで私はその仕事に人生を捧げました

I worked hard day and night for twenty five years.
私は昼も夜も、２５年間、必死で研究しました

Well, I don’t know who will take this medicine,
どなたがこの薬を飲まれるのか知りませんけれど

but please take it to the patient.
どうかこの薬をお持ち下さい”

Then he handed me the box.
それから田中先生はぼくに、その薬の入った箱を手渡してくれた

“Thank you Dr. Tanaka.”
ありがとうございます、田中先生

I replied. Then he said,
ぼくは答えた　すると田中先生は

“I hope he or she will get well soon!”
その方が早く良くなるといいですね！

And we shook hands.
それからぼくらは握手した

“Thank you Dr. Tanaka.”
田中先生、わざわざありがとう

Arisa also said,
妹は田中先生にそう言い

Then, we parted and went to Doc’s house.
それからぼくらは田中先生と分かれ、ぼくと妹は茶トラ先生の家へと向かった
