Maruta still remembers the events of that day very well. It was mid-April last year, when the persistent cold weather was finally starting to leave. This video is not a fake or anything. At least, Maruta has the confidence to say so.

Maruta happened to be at an intersection in Yurakucho, Tokyo, when he approached 〈Silva〉 who was filming. It was Kira who was holding the camera, but Maruta was completely unaware of this videographer's presence. As he approached a red light with the irresistible feeling of weakness that always comes with the holidays, he glanced to left and saw 〈Silva〉 with his back in a strange state.
At first, it did not occur to him that the person was the video creator, 〈Silva〉. Maruta does not quite remember if he was aware of the existence of 〈Silva〉 as a video creator at this point in time. However, it is etched in Maruta's memory that when 〈Silva〉 turned around, he had a vague sense of anticipation, wondering if it might be one of the video creators who were becoming more well-known.

The exchange with 〈Silva〉 and others immediately afterward is as shown in the former video which impregnated with about three snacks' worth of stimulation. When Maruta parted from the creators at the intersection, he had a brief conversation with them regarding their ages, occupations, and other identities. It was also impressive to Maruta that Kira, who was in charge of shooting the video, politely thanked him for his appearance.

This was the only point of contact between Maruta and 〈Silva〉 in the time line, and this video creator was found dead in the mountains of Yamanashi Prefecture four months later. The culprit have not yet been caught.
The following online news appeared without warning, and it came as no small shock to Maruta.

Today Headline. 15:44 14th Aug. 2018
"Video Creator Man Found Dead in Mountain House"

The Yamanashi Prefectural Police announced that the body of a young man was found at a house located halfway up the Mitsuse Pass in Yamanashi Prefecture at around 9 p.m. on August 13.
The victim, Gin Nakata (26,Tokyo), is a 'video creator' who earns advertising revenue by posting videos. He and male acquaintances had visited the location to shoot a video about a 'haunted place'. Nakata uses the handle name 'Silva' for his video contribution activities, and the number of subscribers to his channel had reached 300,000 as of May of this year.

One of the men who first discovered the body was one of his acquaintances, who said that he tried hard to resuscitate the body, but it did not regain its breath. The autopsy revealed that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to neck compression. Prefectural police believe that a 'thin string-like object' was used as the murder weapon. An hour or two had passed between the death and the discovery of the body.

Furthermore, the male acquaintances insisted that the victim had been in a room locked from the inside in the house, until just before the incident was discovered, and a fire broke out outside the house immediately after the body was found, so it had to be taken outside.

Since the house in question was actually half burned down, the prefectural police will now investigate the circumstances leading up to the murder, including the cause of the fire.

After the meeting with 〈Silva〉 in person at Yurakucho, Tokyo, Maruta gradually increased the number of times he played the videos, especially on 〈Silva〉's channel, since one video included his own image. In the midst of this, Maruta suddenly learned about the case and began devouring similar articles. He watched the many videos left behind by 〈Silva〉 with a completely different frame of mind than before.
Even though he had only met 〈Silva〉 once, every time he opened the video, his passion for finding out the truth grew like an uncontrollable tumor. As he scoured the Internet for information, he became familiar with many of the bizarre events that had occurred around 〈Silva〉 in the past.

The public's reaction, however was completely inverse to Maruta's high spirits, and it was very curt. For the first three days after the first news of the incident, all the media attached a deliberate lamentation to the young man's untimely death. During that time, 〈Silva〉 was described as 'a promising young man who had made it to the national archery competition in high school.'

After the emergence of topics that could generate more viewers and views than the sudden death of an upstart video creator, the number of articles related to the incident rapidly declined. This was understandable, given that the perpetrator had not been caught, the afterglow of the World Cup soccer tournament was still lingering in the public mind, and to top it off, a president who is supposed to lead the world was still spouting off. The public could not continue to care indefinitely about the murder of a man who was only just becoming famous in this country.
